Jazz/Blues Evening this Saturday!

This Saturday (27th November 2010) Oposium will be performing a one-off evening of chilled jazz and blues.

For the last two years, we've played big gigs with lights, lasers and more smoke than you could see through. But this year we decided we would do something different.

Starting at 7.30pm, we're going to introduce you to music that the band enjoy playing when we're not performing Oposium tracks. Richard will draw from his blues roots while Sam (as usual) will have some different tricks up his sleeve... !

Conical Sphere launch new Retail Outlet

Conical Sphere Group announced yesterday that they have launched their new flagship website. Although predominantly launched as an online womenswear shop, Ragtangle.com will also provide a retail outlet for everything published on the Conical Sphere Music & Entertainment label.


This is exciting for Oposium as this opportunity will be available to the band. Oposium already have one album released on the Conical Sphere label 'Life Under The Sun', and have pulled back production of a new EP until a deal with Conical Sphere can be reached.

Interview on IssTV for Oposium's Mr Hair!

In a slightly different role, Oposium frontman Richard McLester was asked to perform at the recent Civic Awards at Poole Lighthouse for the Mayor of Poole. Richard played background music throughout the meal and then performed the famous Liebestraeume No. 3 in front of the 500 guests. Sam Hanson (Mr Brain) also accompanied soprano soloist Sophie Ackroyd who performed 3 classical pieces.
